چکیده

Two green catalysts based on Pd(0) nanoparticles (Pd NPs) anchored through PDA porous silica and magnetite have been synthesized using a generalized simple reproducible “two-step” methodology. Both were tested for model reaction, the hydrogenation of 4-nitrophenol NaBH4 as hydrogenating agent, especially good activity has achieved in case containing inorganic core [email protected]3O4). We analyzed effect associated with catalyst separation method (centrifugation or magnetically) that affect to distribution aggregation degree Pd NPs. In addition, we also correlate final morphology its relationship nature supports: (UVM-7 type silica) massive, although nanoscale, typical Fe3O4 particles used. studied nitroarenes, follows Haber multistep mechanism various intermediates. order understand not only process whole, but importance each step intermediates involved, applied multivariate curve resolution (MCR) factorial This approach, normally is used catalysis works, makes it possible quantitatively determine rate limiting step, allow extract complete information from catalytic process.

Ruthenium nanoparticles on nano-level-controlled carbon supports as highly effective catalysts for arene hydrogenation.

The reaction of three types of carbon nanofibers (CNFs; platelet: CNF-P, tubular: CNF-T, herringbone: CNF-H) with [Ru3(CO)12] in toluene heated at reflux provided the corresponding CNF-supported ruthenium nanoparticles, Ru/CNFs (Ru content = 1.1-3.8 wt %). TEM studies of these Ru/CNFs revealed that size-controlled Ru nanoparticles (2-4 nm) exist on the CNFs, and that their location was dependen...

From Pd nanoparticles to single crystals: 1,3-butadiene hydrogenation on well-defined model catalysts.

Although 1,3-butadiene hydrogenation is known to be a structure-sensitive reaction, correlation of the catalytic activity with the exact Pd particle surface structure shows that the reaction is in fact particle size independent.
